Features and principles

Silica gel is an amorphous silicon dioxide with a porous structure and a very large surface area. The common form of silica gel desiccant is granular or massive, usually colorless or light yellow. The main component of silica gel desiccant is silica gel, which has high hygroscopicity and can effectively absorb moisture in the surrounding environment.

Silica gel desiccant mainly absorbs water molecules through physical adsorption. Physical adsorption refers to the intermolecular force between water molecules and the surface of silica gel, which reduces the humidity of the surrounding environment by adsorbing water molecules. The pore structure and large surface area of silica gel provide more adsorption sites and thus a higher moisture absorption capacity.
